The problem

Household bills lived in a different spreadsheet every month, so it was hard to see what was paid or overdue.

The solution

A multi-account bills tracker. You can start a new month by copying the previous month's bills forward, import legacy XLS/XLSX workbooks with a full preview step, and install the app on your phone as a PWA.

Highlights

  • A "New month" flow copies bills forward with shifted due dates and resets payment status
  • XLS/XLSX import parses month-named sheets and shows a row-by-row preview with warnings before saving
  • Installable PWA with a manifest, icons and a service-worker app shell
  • Express + Prisma API, PostgreSQL, Playwright end-to-end tests and API integration tests
  • Pushes to main deploy automatically and are checked with a /healthz probe
